TODDLER RAVE IS COMING TO ELLIS HOUSE.

On September 19, we’re turning Ellis House into a kid friendly dance party with a live DJ, colorful lights, bubbles, and plenty of room for little ones to move.

This one is built for toddlers and young kids, but parents are part of the fun too.

What to expect:

• Live DJ
• Kid friendly dance music
• Club style lighting
• Bubbles
• Big open dance floor
• Space for parents to dance with their kids

Recommended for ages 1 to 6.

Tickets are $20 per person, with family pricing available for families of 4 and 5.

We’re keeping the first one limited so it feels fun, not packed.

Yesterday we welcomed some of the Corridor’s top entrepreneurs to the very first Connect & Compound at Ellis House.

Our white infinity wall made the perfect backdrop for the panel discussion, while the rest of the space naturally turned into conversations, new connections, and ideas being shared long after the panel ended.

In just the past two weeks, Ellis House has hosted four networking mixers. It’s quickly becoming a place where people come together, build relationships, and create opportunities.

Trekkie’s have taken over Ellis House!

Now we know this is a photo of a BBQ Food Truck outside of Ellis but The Delta Flyers, a Star Trek Podcast, has chosen our space to host their Star Trek convention party! (Did you know that was happening in Riverside??)

That said, if you’re looking for the right space to hold your next get together, Ellis House is your space!

One week ago tonight, we hosted our first public event at Ellis House.

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, shared a post, invited a friend, or simply showed up to support something new.

Seeing people laughing, connecting, and enjoying the space exactly the way it was intended made all the work worth it.

When I started building Ellis House, the vision was to create a place that could bring people together for events, creative projects, workshops, celebrations, and experiences that feel a little different from the ordinary.

Last Friday was a small but meaningful step toward that vision.

Special thanks to the team at Yesandia for bringing the energy and helping make the night a success.

We’re just getting started, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

First Laughs at Ellis House is coming up Friday, June 12.

We’re opening the doors for a night of live improv comedy with Yesandia, a local non-profit improv comedy group bringing a fully unscripted show to Ellis House.

Every scene, joke, and moment is made up on the spot, so the show only happens once.

This is also the first public event inside Ellis House, which makes it a fun chance to see the space, support local performers, and be part of the first night of many.

After months of work, Ellis House is finally starting to feel like the space we imagined.

It’s a modern studio and gathering space in Cedar Rapids built for events, shoots, workshops, mixers, intimate weddings, showers, brand activations, and creative projects.

We wanted something flexible, polished, and different from the typical rental space. A place that could host a meaningful event one day, a video shoot the next, and a creative gathering after that.
