Artist Spotlight

RIPPER

A local hometown DJ from Cedar Rapids whose music draws inspiration from the likes of Excision, Eptic, RL Grime, and Tape B.

He’s been in the EDM scene for more than a decade, dabbling in mixing for years. In 2024, he opened at Balance Music Festival, played at Elray’s in Iowa City and the Ideal Theatre in Cedar Rapids, along with other local events. He has also recently begun producing his own music with local DJs.

He will be making his IowaTechno debut on this one.
Best keep your eye on him as he continues to gain momentum and expect some heavy s**t!

Artist Spotlight

SHARLO

Sharlo is a versatile artist and man of many talents. Not only is he a seasoned house vet but many of past IowaTechno parties would not have been made possible without his input including this one.

Lately he’s been focusing heavily with his On The House events where they have continued to keep electronic music flowing the past couple of years. We are super excited to have him back in the IowaTechno mix. Long considered a close IowaTechno ally and family member, when you think of IowaTechno his name should surely be one that comes to mind.

TILLY

TILLY brings a different kind of pressure — raw, emotional, and a little unhinged. He leans into the low-end with a sound that swings between dreamy and destructive. There’s always a little tension in his sets, like something beautiful might break at any second.

IowaTechno’s sole TRUE bass artist on the roster. TILLY fits the bill perfectly when it comes to the vibes we are trying to spread. With a wide range of abilities in the booth there’s no guessing which way he will go but we can assure you this, you won’t want to miss what he has in store.

Artist Spotlight:

TRIPENDICULAR

DJ, producer (in training), and event promoter from The Quad Cities.

We are excited to have one of our closest allies back in the building for another IowaTechno event. In the past we have created some memorable nights with TRiPENDiCULAR and we don’t expect anything to change this go around.
There’s a reason we have invite him back a number of times.

Playing a barrage of genres in dance/bass music, there simply isn’t a lineup that TRiPENDiCULAR doesn’t fit perfectly on. Having performed at a plethora of events in support of a multitude of internationally, nationally, regionally and locally recognized artists, he has firmly established himself as a multi-dimensional selector who is sure to never play the same set twice.

KiNNY

KINNY’s a staple in the Iowa scene — deep, trippy grooves, heavy basslines, and a real knack for locking in a dance floor. He’s been pushing house and techno for years, and lately he’s been diving headfirst into the world of trap and bass, throwing curveballs and keeping it unpredictable.

Whether it’s sunrise vibes or full-send late-night chaos, he knows how to stir the pot.
