Going to try and keep this short and sweet...

I personally would like to start off by thanking everyone who showed out to help celebrate my birthday and catch my birthday set. I haven’t played an IowaTechno party since 2019. From the moment I stepped into the booth I was feeling it. This was the best time I’ve ever had performing as a DJ. At home, on my own sound system in front of a packed house and the peak hour of the night, surrounded by friends and the IowaTechno Fam. 🖤 If you were in attendance you probably witnessed something that won’t happen again for a long time.

We’d like thank everyone for supporting us on not only for this party but the last 4 parties since our return. It’s because of you we brought IowaTechno back!
We heard the chatter about how we were missed and how important these nights are to the community.

So thank you for continuing to support us. Thank you to the vendors and everyone on our team who plays a part into making these happen. You know who you are. 🙏
Its not easy hosting these events and a ton of work goes into them not only the day of but months in advance for our team.

The last 8 months and 4 events have been amazing. Starting with RELUME in August, AFTERLIFE for Halloween, REVIVAL for NYE and finishing off with TRANSFORMATION. The titles of these events truly describe the series and our return as we put IowaTechno in a CRYPT in 2023. This season really been a TRANSFORMATION and we are excited for what the future holds.

Which leads me to my next point. We will be taking an extended break till the end of August. The wear and tear these take on me personally and mentally becomes taxing. This will be a much needed break for me. Extra special thank you to Kinny for being my other half and taking weight off of my shoulders because I truly would not be able to do this without him. ❤️

See you in 6 months😉

If at any point there is an issue or someone is making you feel uncomfortable come to the front ticketing table and notify our team immediately.

Also please note the guidelines below:

1. No weapons of any kind are allowed on the premises.

2. This is not a BYOB event like we have done in the past. No alcohol is allowed to be brought in. There is a fully stocked bar.

3. No drugs are allowed.

🚨 We will have security at the door enforcing these rules with pat downs and searches.
Violations of our community guidelines will result in immediate action, and you will be removed and not allowed back.

With that said, we’re beyond excited to share Saturday’s experience with you!
Arrive early — a large turnout is expected, and there may be a short wait. And hey — stick around all night!

Producer/DJ based out of the states capital, Des Moines, IA.
The longtime host and brain behind Iowa’s longest running monthly event series “Melting Sounds” which recently celebrated its 8 year anniversary. Consistently bringing regional and national artists.

Nicky brings a unique set every time with his heavy doubles and twists on familiar dubstep and trap tracks. Mixing emo throwbacks with heavy drops will have everyone singing along.
With releases on such labels as Noiseporn, AY YO TRIP and Tearout Network, his Mr Brightside edit has been played all over the world with 230k+ plays.

Nicky’s return to the IowaTechno stage is long overdue and definitely won’t be disappointing. Don’t miss his set as he takes over Cedar Rapids once again!!

We want to take a second to flip the script and shine a light on the folks shining the lights!
BLIND Studio has been a integral part of the IowaTechno shows for as long as we’ve been throwing our events. Being more of an auditory focused collective, we’ve occasionally dabbled in the visual aspect of the events but to be honest, we’d rather let that task go to the professionals!

With our tenure in the community and industry, one thing that has always stood out to us in our ventures onto dance floors around the country is this: a good light rig and visual tech will always expand the scope of the party and how invested you find yourself in it.
