“LUMINOUS” Show Description

This free show will feature new-ish music by living-ish composers. Each piece pushes musical boundaries in intriguing ways.

Postludes for Bowed Vibraphone(percussion quartet) by Elliot Cole. These tranquil pieces utilize new sounds and textures by using bows and fingertips instead of mallets.

Black Swan (soprano and piano) from The Medium by Gian Carlo Manotti. A sorrowful aria that’s both beautiful and haunting.

Productive Procrastination (flute and electric guitar) by Matt Shaver. An energetic exploration of avoidance that draws from a variety of musical inspirations.

The Wax Garden (flute) by Jacob Miller Smith. A visceral solo that uses extended techniques to express raw emotion.

Music in Eight Parts by Philip Glass. A classic from the minimalist movement in music, this quartet embodies Glass’s approach to the genre with a constant texture that evolves steadily and patiently. Our performance will feature an artist painting alongside the musicianseent

🎄 You’re invited to our upcoming Cedar Park holiday events!

Kick off the season with the Heritage Oak Tree Lighting on December 3, and celebrate all the way through December 13 with the Tail of Lights finale, a paw-some holiday event for your furry friends! 🐾✨

✨ This year, we’re introducing our very first A Jolly, Bright Lakeline Night — a holiday event full of cheer, glowing lights, and festive fun at Lakeline Park!

So gather your family and plan to kick off the season with us!

What a truly magical day y’all 🔥 We had 12 bands hit the stage at and it was a KILLER show!!!! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, to the Far Out and their amazing staff, to Kansas for running sound, and to our teachers and staff at RSM 💜 these shows bring us all together in such a beautiful way and we get to support the hard work and creativity that everyone puts into their music journey. THANK YOU! We will be at the ABGB on Nov 22nd and then Lucky Rabbit for our holiday show on Dec 13 🎄
