Out of Focus Entertainment Productions was formed with the vision of creating quality and entertaining DJ and Karaoke shows at an affordable price. As the company has grown since its inception in 2008, the vision

has since extended into becoming a complete entertainment and event planning services organization. Based out of the Chicago area, Out Of Focus Entertainment has over 15 years experience in it's disc jockeys, karaoke jockeys, MC's/hosts & ancillary services personnel. Our experience has ranged from small private events, to bars/clubs, to mega weddings & corporate events. Out of Focus Entertainment hosted am 80's prom themed corporate event this past weekend, coordinated by our friends at Magnificent Events in the Grand Ballroom of the beautiful Hyatt Regency Chicago-Downtown

For this event, Out of Focus Ent. provided a modified version of our Gold DJ package, which provided plenty of sound and effects lighting on the 30 foot stage we were set up on to fill the entire ballroom!

We have done many different style themed events similar to our 80s theme at this event, from the 20s, to disco, 90s, glow parties, country and western, our experience and vast knowledge and love for all styles of music makes us versatile to all kinds of themes!

This past weekend, Out of Focus Entertainment had the honor of celebrating more love with another wedding at The Barn & Vineyard in Beecher, Illinois

The ceremony was held outdoors in the vineyards, where we provided our Ceremony Services Package to our client, complete with professional microphones and perfectly cued music selected and customized by our bride and groom

Guests then moved inside the rustic reception hall, where, like most do once they see what the package includes, our bride and went all-out with our Platinum Wedding Reception Package. Then it was up to us to deliver the detail, energy, and professionalism that keep the celebration going strong all night long!

Out of Focus Ent. had the pleasure of hosting another beautiful wedding this past weekend, this one at Starved Rock State Park in the City of Oglesby, Illinois

Our client had their wedding ceremony outdoors overlooking the valleys of the state park and chose to have our services at their ceremony providing music and microphones for it. This is a flat rate package that we offer our wedding clients on an add on to their reception DJ package.

For their reception, our clients spared nothing and went for our Platinum Reception DJ services package (minus a front facade due to space constraints), which includes all of our reception services with BIG sound and BIG lighting, and as you can see, it created such a vibe in the dancing room that the dance floor was nonstop from start to finish!

Out of Focus Entertainment loves helping make memories happen, and this weekend we had the honor of being part of a private surprise birthday celebration at the Balagio in Mokena Banquet Room in Mokena, IL.

As with every event we do, big or small, we worked closely with our client, this event being the birthday girl’s husband, to make every detail perfect. From cocktail hour and dinner music, to getting guests out on the dance floor, we tailored the night with our client to create an unforgettable experience.

As an extra surprise, an Italian singing duo was even hired to perform live dinner entertainment with even a special song for the guest of honor, with Out of Focus Ent. providing sound and microphone support. That’s the versatility we bring to every event!

This event was also unique because we had only a very small setup area to work with. Thanks to great communication with our client, we created a compact DJ setup with just the right amount of power and lighting to keep the party going all night in that small space alotted for us

Out of Focus Ent. had the honor this past weekend of hosting an event at the beautiful Villa Cesare Events & Banquets in Schererville, Indiana that marked a huge milestone in our client's life: Their 75th birthday!

This event was a smaller, informal event which only required a small and basic DJ, sound, and lighting setup with a wireless microphone for some speeches, announcements, and of course, singing Happy Birthday!

Our client, their friends, and their family had a blast dancing the afternoon away. This just goes to show that booking Out of Focus for even a smaller or informal event brings the same atmosphere, entertainment, and energy we bring to a big festival event or even a mega formal or corporate event!

As we step into 2025, we proudly celebrate a significant milestone—17 years of Out of Focus Entertainment!

Founded in 2008, Out of Focus Entertainment began as a simple idea—almost by accident. Like many businesses, we started with limited equipment, minimal experience, and barely a budget. Yet, thanks to the guidance and bold visions of incredible mentors, the unwavering support of our family and friends, and those early clients who took a chance on us, we have grown into the company we are today and one of the most popular and sought after DJ & Karaoke entertainment companies in the Chicagoland and NW Indiana area!

Over the past 17 years, we’ve had the privilege of providing entertainment for thousands of events—ranging from bar and club gigs to weddings, festivals, corporate functions, public and private events. Along the way, we’ve met remarkable people, partnered with amazing clients, and collaborated with some outstanding talent. Through constant reinvestment in our company, continuous learning, and a commitment to mastering our craft, we have grown, expanded, and evolved immensely, however, we’ve never lost sight of our beginnings—one weekly gig at a small bar in Orland Park, where we actually had to borrow sound equipment and earned a whole $80 for the night.

As with any business, the journey has had it's ups and downs. It’s been through these challenges—whether financial setbacks, tough competition, moments of frustration, or just the not great people you sometimes encounter in such a cut throat industry—that we’ve learned the most. There were times when it seemed easier to walk away, but we persisted and stayed true to our foundation of honesty, professionalism, and delivering quality entertainment at a fair price, which has allowed us to thrive, reach this incredible milestone, earn multiple awards for, and is what sets us apart from the rest.

We owe our success over the past 17 years to our loyal clients, past and present, our partners in the industry, the talented individuals we’ve had the pleasure of working with, and each of you who has supported us in some way.

As part of this celebration, we’re excited to announce the retirement of our original, 17 year old logo, and unveil our fresh, new, carefully crafted and designed logo! As our business has evolved, our look has also evolved, but our commitment to providing exceptional entertainment and upholding our founding principles remains the same.

Another holiday themed event!

This past weekend, Out of Focus Ent. hosted another holiday themed event, an Ugly Christmas Sweater party at Bugaboo's bar and grill in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

These themed events are always fun and it's always a great time to see how much thought or creativity people put into their outfits for the theme. This event had a great turn out with some great sweaters and it was a great night of the establishment's patrons dancing and enjoying the spirit of the holidays. We brought just a basic DJ rig with some basic effects lights which was more than enough for this smaller sized bar.

Out of Focus Ent. hosted another beautiful wedding this past weekend at the Cloister In The Woods events venue in Munster, Indiana.

Our clients for this wedding reception chose our budget conscious friendly "Gold" wedding reception package, but also requested to add-on two of our upright, uplit, trusses with the moving head effects lights atop. These upright trusses are part of our two higher wedding reception packages, but we had no problem honoring our clients' special request to add them to the package they chose to make them happy on their big night!
