Today has been so weird! The day started with people attacking me on a Facebook group over my photo as Red from decendants 4. There was nothing wrong with the photo. I was completely in character and offering to show up in a cool car for the kiddos.
Then at my event, nobody came that sent an RSVP, except for 1. I went to the farmers market at 11am to try to sell tickets, but could only do so much in character. About 30 people said they'd stop by, but only one stopped by. I even offered to sing to them for free, I was only having people pay by the canvas. Last event, same event minus Elsa, got all 5 star reviews with a full house.
So I paid extra to have Elsa there so there would be a fresh addition since last month, set up 25 tables, and spent 4 hours total on the event today. Not to mention the hours preparing to lead up to today. I absolutely love what I do but this was so bizarre to do all this work and nobody ended up coming who said that they would. It makes me wonder if I did something wrong or if it was just bad timing.
Then after the event, I lost my car keys somehow, and my spare key! So I got a ride home, but my car is still locked and at the event with no way for me to access it until I find those. That has never happened and was bizarre. Oh, and I locked myself outside in the hot sun on top of all that. What else happened? Oh yeah, and then after my event there were more unnecessary comments on my Princess Red post in the Facebook group (the same photo that's on my page here below with the same description on the post)
Why do I share this? I guess the moral of the story is that even princesses have rough days. I appreciate all those who have been supportive and kind to my staff and I. I'm thankful that most days are magical, but this one was something else. I am so thankful for the two little girls that came to paint because even if I just made their days brighter, then I guess it was all worth it. β€οΈ
