The dress buttoner, the veil straighteners, the deep breath givers.
The moms who somehow hold it all together while trying not to cry before the ceremony starts. The ones fluffing dresses with shaky hands, fixing flower crowns, and looking at their girls like they’re still five years old for just one more second.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day will always be watching the moms. The quiet moments. The proud smiles. The “you look so beautiful” whispers that somehow say a thousand other things too.
And the last photo? That one is extra special to me. Just me fixing my five-year-old’s flower crown moments before she waltzed down the aisle as a flower girl. And honestly… I hope she always looks to me to fix the crown on her head in one way or another. 🥹
Running Southern Posies — where we get to plan, design, and flower some of life’s most meaningful celebrations — has given me the incredible gift of being surrounded by strong, thoughtful, creative women every single day. Women who encourage one another, show up for one another, and make beauty out of care and connection. I never take that for granted.
To all the moms spending this Mother’s Day loving big, showing up fully, and making magic in the little moments… we see you.
Happy Mother’s Day from Southern Posies!
