Bright, Beautiful, Intimate and Romantic. The four words Alex gave us when describing what she wanted for she and Michael’s wedding day. Not even the downpour of rain could stop this beautiful day! Would you believe me if I told you the skies cleared right as the ceremony began? It could not have been more perfect for this sweet couple and we were so honored to be a part of their day!

It’s a new year and we have lots of new faces around here so we thought it was the perfect time for a proper re-introduction!

I’m Crystal Strickland, Owner & Creative Director of Southern Posies!

Southern Posies started 12 years ago on my living room floor, with just event planning and floral experience. But events weren’t always my clear path. In high school, I was always making and sewing clothing patterns, bedazzling shoes, and dreaming of owning a boutique. After graduating from Auburn University, I realized my love for textiles, color, and design was not necessarily dressing people but dressing events 🌷

Weddings and Events are more than celebrations—they’re about crafting a space that feels like home for you and your guests. It’s our job and passion to bring your vision to life and help you savor every moment of your special day. Whether you’re hosting 60 or 600, we’re here to design meaningful moments with thoughtful details, intentional design and blooms that reflect you.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me gardening with my husband, Trip, and daughter, Mary Leighton, experimenting with sourdough, or hunting for my latest antique find!

A few fun facts about Southern Posies:
-We’ve grown to 5 full-time team members and 15+ event team members.
-Our studio sits on 15 acres, with two beehives, a wildflower field, and a small garden dedicated to growing flowers for fun. We often will tie in some of our own flowers from the garden into our events. 🐝🌸
-We’ve served clients from Seattle, WA to Richmond, VA—and we love to travel!
