Cassville Oktoberfest

We see a few negative comments about not having our Sunday at our event this year. So we thought we should take a moment to explain our Oktoberfest Committees' decision. Unfortunately this event takes a ton of manpower to make it happen effectively and profitably. There is much behind-the- scene prep time, and many expenses that make this a successful event. Sadly, as with most things in this world today, costs of everything have risen and help has gotten less. Making a profit in this economy is tough. We totally understand, it is a struggle for us as well.
We are trying new things to see how we can continue this event for all of us to enjoy and we apologize that we cannot please everyone. Change is never easy but as everything else in our current lives, costs have risen and as we all know, vendors just pass those rising costs onto the consumers in numerous ways, which could include, product price increase, or decreased sizes of products sold. In that scenario, you as vendors would be required to absorb the cost, thus the decrease in number of days. We appreciate you as vendors and we felt that we couldn't ask you to pay what we would be needed to lower expenses and still make this a profitable event for ALL of us.
The Oktoberfest was started 50 years ago as a community pig roast by Lions Club members and has turned into what it is today. That did not happen without a lot of manpower and money. We, as a fire Company and Lions Club, need to find ways to make money and still provide the event that the community has enjoyed for 50 years. We also need to be good stewards of our funds to be able to meet the day to day needs of our community. It simply cannot cost us to hold an event that at one point was a good money maker for both Fire Company and the Lions Club. That is just not fiscally responsible, nor is it fair to our members who take much time away from family and daily lives to make this event happen. We hope you will be patient with us as we try to make changes in attempting to keep the Cassville Oktoberfest going... however that may look for the future. We hope you can join us but we totally understand if you can't.

The 2026 Annual Cassville Oktoberfest is a go! We are making some changes this year. The main change is the fact that we will not be doing Sunday this year. The dates will Friday and Saturday September 25-26, 2026.
Our vendor contact again this year will be Brenda Covert. If you WERE a vendor last year and gave her contact information, check your inboxes for 2026 Vendor packets. They were sent to anyone with email or text message number on file. Those with no email or text, will be sent in the US mail. If you have not received yours, please feel free to reach out to Brenda . If you WEREN'T a part of the event last year and are interested in getting the vendor packet to get your spot(s) reserved, please forward your email information to me and I will see you get the info ASAP. Also in email include your name or business name and product/service you are selling.

The 2026 Annual Cassville Oktoberfest is a go! Hold the dates of September 25-27, 2026. And since we all realize time passes so quickly, and all of your vendor schedules fill up quickly, we thought it was time to get out our vendor information to you.
