When Rick designed The Front Porch Promise Farm barn venue to replace the original mid-1800’s barn that had collapsed, he insisted that the main floor would be finished with hickory hardwood - nothing else would do.

Why?

Because Hickory Hardwood makes for the very best dance floor.

Take a look at the little girl in this video. She proves that Rick knew exactly what he was doing!

Fall 2025 was a very busy and beautiful season of celebration at the Front Porch Promise Farm.

We had the privilege of witnessing 3 fall weekend weddings in a row for 3 precious couples who celebrated with family and friends as they said, “I do”!

Somedays you just gotta dance!

Tomorrow Thursday, September 25, 2025 is someday!

Rick and I will be helping you learn not 1, not 2 but 3 fun easy country dances! They are the El Paso and the Ten-Step circle dances, and the Cowboy Up line dance! Learn as many or as few as you like.

Plan to join us at 7:00 pm in the barn at The Front Porch Promise Farm. Wear non-grip, smooth soled shoes or boots and bring your own refreshments.

Lessons are FREE, but belly laughter, excessive joy and heaping loads of heart happiness are required!

Good news!

Rick and I had an awesome time last night in the barn helping others learn the El Paso circle dance, and the Cowboy Up line dance.

Bad news!

Rick and I occasionally messed up some of our steps while working with our guests.

Good news!

Turns out there were no Country Western dance police at The Front Porch Promise Farm last night to judge us! It’s a judge free zone! 😂🤠👮 😂
