Heading into the halfway mark of my first year as a Raleigh Chamber member 👏🏽

Grateful for the connections, conversations and opportunities that come with being surrounded by other business owners and leaders. There’s a certain pride that comes with growing a business and chasing the life you’ve always envisioned for yourself — a reminder that the “American Dream” is worth the pursuit.

It’s feeling especially meaningful heading into Memorial Day weekend — a time to honor those who made it possible for me to freely pursue my goals, dreams and opportunities because of their ultimate sacrifices ❤️💙

From Custom Proposals, Book Excerpts Read Aloud, Esteemed Panelist, Thoughtful Sponsors, Printed Resources, Swag, Community Engagement, VR Dementia Immersion, Projection Screens, Flyers, Signs, QR codes, 3 Balloon Displays, Lemon Centerpieces, Forget me not Flowers, A Book Signing, Meeting the Author, Photo Ops, Southern Cuisine, 2 Bookmarks, Coke Favors, Prayer Cards toooo….Caregiver Support Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually. These are the 6 things I considered when building a theme for my current event. I absolutely love when a theme themes all the way through🗣️

Deejaying is an ART! We’re literally doing a “dance” as hosts of events. From guest announcements to vendor reminders, and everything in between, the deejay makes the difference. They create the experience. One thing guests recap is the music. Hire accordingly. Club Rheub is always a pleasure, beginning to end. Top tier 🏆

If I’m honest, I’m quicker to believe God’s promises for everyone else before I believe those same promises for my life and my path. Even after timely blessings stacked on top of blessings with my name on them, I still can never be reminded enough that God’s timing is perfect and that He uses it ALL, even the “wait time”. Be encouraged🤍 You aren’t forgotten💫

🧩 corners are locked in. Now it’s time to build a border. Watch me create the bigger picture for one of my current events — a book signing and community engagement event for an indie author ✨

Since venues eat 25-40% of a typical budget, coming in below gives me the budget to pitch for intentionality elsewhere👏🏽

POV: You have Insomnia Cookies delivered to the functions 🍪🔥

Clients are choosing everything BUT cake these days🤔. Hot cookies now + Cookies later as the favor? The absolute win! 🤏🏽

Hilariously had the best time helping the client decide if we should order customized favor baggies or have package them. That’s data I’ll collect each and every time and be the most thoroughest at collecting!

💜 to my venues and caterers that allow outside cookies, my catering staffs that’ll keep them warm and display them just as I asked without making me fight (which I get bc that’s a liability concern since they didn’t bake them), Insomnia for holding down thousand cookie orders, tracking and delivery, and to my clients that think it’s the absolute dopest thing ever and say “Yesss Jay”! It takes a lot of effort and logistics!

Major impact begins in a room full of people who care. 💛💜🩵

✨ 3 things most people don’t know.
Event Sponsorship edition. 💫

1️⃣ In-kind vs. monetary: $$ = funding, in-kind = goods/services (like food or space). Both are essential—they just offset costs differently.

2️⃣ Tickets rarely = profit. Many are free. If ticketed, it’ll usually cover basics—the real funding comes from sponsors, donors and long-term partners.

3️⃣ The real value is after the event. Data + impact reports help secure bigger sponsors, grants and future opportunities.

I’m bringing people together for an upcoming book signing and community engagement event designed to connect, uplift and create real impact for those suffering through Dementia and Alzheimers.

I’m most excited to host a safe space where lives have an opportunity to be transformed. If a caregiver learns a new technique, shows up more gentler with their person or adds a new soul to their village to walk along beside them…WHEW. BIG SUCCESS. BIG.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Marbles relies on community support and EVENTS to serve families from all backgrounds with playful, hands-on learning experiences. I love that what I do contributes directly to the intentional programming Marbles facilitates daily. The best part is the opportunity to witness the utter joy of kids before life sets in. They’ve been the best reminder that anything is possible and that neither fear nor doubt can rest or rule in my heart.

Let’s talk…there’s so much Marbles can accommodate.
