This time last year I had dozens of trays of seedlings bursting to life in the greenhouse, overwintered flowers getting ready to bloom under frost cloth, and piles of seed packets waiting for their turn to be planted. This year has been very different! I’ve been missing my time in the field, but things have still been growing, notably, this enormous belly.

I’ve stepped away from a lot of farm stuff in recent months. Turns out growing a baby has been a lot harder than I anticipated, but I am so excited for all the good stuff to come in 2022! Our little girl is due at the end of February, and I will be taking maternity leave for the spring. I hope to be back in the flower field later this year, and I will keep y’all updated! 🌱❤️

It's National Farmers Market Week! Several of our farmers sell at our local farmers markets. You can find Barking Dog Farms and Natural & Local LLC Saturdays at Western Wake Farmers' Market, and Old North Farm and Tsara Farm at the Cary Downtown Farmers Market.
Some of the highlights from week 7 of our Summer CSA: watermelon, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes (two types!), bell and hot peppers, eggplant, okra, eggplant, blackberries, microgreens (moong or wheatgrass), and a flower bouquet.
