Hi! I’m Katelyn the lady behind Bee Bloomin’ 🐝💐

My flower journey started from loss that has bloomed into its own unique story.

I focus on being a sustainable florist. What does that mean⁉️

I will NOT use floral foam that is made of any type of plastic. (You know that green stuff 🤢) There is a lot of greenwashing (the industry also has brown plastic foam) around “sustainable”.


I full heartedly believe LOCAL flowers are the best! Nothing can compare. Supporting local North Carolina and USA farmers is a must! And as often as possible. (Think plastic packaging and transit).


Lots of waste from flower and stem waste just gets thrown into the trash 😱. I have been creating my own compost since Bee Bloomin’ started. ♻️


Educating on what sustainable means in the floral industry while also researching and testing new techniques is how change happens.

I hope you will continue on this journey with me as I share more and we make a difference in the floral industry!
