Happy New Year! Rosh Hashanah is a time for us to reflect on our lives and how we lived for the past year. Have we hurt anyone have we sinned? From last night til the day of of atonement, Yom Kippur, is the time to seek forgiveness from the people that you have hurt. The time to repair relationships and the time to seek forgiveness from GOD. This period of time is called the 10 Days of Repentance.

Rosh Hashanah is believed to be the anniversary of the creation of Earth.

To all my Jewish family and friends may GOD bless you and give you a healthy and happy and sweet year.

This weekend was a very tragic weekend almost 30 innocent people where killed for no reason. All they where doing was going about living their lives.

Dear GOD what is happening? What gets into people's heads that they start shooting people?

I am not getting political and I am not getting into the gun control argument. I am convinced that the wide division between the Democrats and the Republicans, between the left and the right is contributing to these acts of violence. The words that are spoken at rallies and debates reflect the wide division in our country, I sometimes feel that are at the brink of civil war. Dear GOD we are in need of your peace. We have to find a way to come together and work on ways to resolve the issues that devide us.

The gun control debate had no solution. Guns are an important part of our society. The question is it necessary for people to own weapons of war? Is there anyway to screen a person who wants to own a weapon to see if they are capable of committing mass murder?

Dear GOD, You are in control, this is Your world. Please welcome the victims of the murders into your loving arms. Please bring Your peace and comfort to the families and friends of the victims. Please dear GOD watch over and protect us. Amen.
