Have you ever felt like God was telling you to do something big, that would require a lot of faith? Did you struggle to go for it? I have!

A few years ago I had discussed with my husband that I was going to try to retire my full time, 9 to 5 job when I hit 20 years. After over 4 eye surgeries, 2 major back surgeries, and a brain tumor I decided it was too much to work a full time job and run a full time business on the side. After praying and crying, I turned in my papers to my 9 to 5 at Smithfield Foods. After 20 years and 4 days of service at 42 years old, I am retiring. Stepping out in faith and doing something that God has called you to do can be so scary. If God is leading you to do something, know that it will be good because He is good. It’s a bittersweet day for me, but I still stand proud of myself.

If I ever decide to join the workforce again, it will be doing something I totally love!!!

By the way, these pictures were taken months ago, I was just waiting on God to tell me it’s time! 🙌🏾

After a decade of designing weddings, there are still some people who prefer opting for minimalist wedding décor. Going by the less is more philosophy, minimalism is gradually making its way into the wedding trends and I am starting to love it. Sophistication is making its way back and I am all for it!
