London, you sly thing, you didn't disappoint! Brad and I first visited last April, and I've become utterly obsessed with this stunning city. This trip was extra special because we had our BFFs Sally and Scott, our amazing daughter who's a total gypsy at heart, just like her momma, and our trusty travel buddy, my cousin Lee Labrie, along for the ride. We did all the usual London stuff - Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the changing of the guards. But let's be real, the highlight of my trip was, once again, visiting the iconic Harrods Department Store. I mean, this place is the epitome of luxury - it's like the most beautiful store in the world. And, just like last time, we spent hours exploring just one floor - it's massive, people! We're talking 1 million square feet, six floors, and over an acre of land. It's a shopper's paradise, especially during Christmas. The entire city was transformed into a winter wonderland, and I've never seen anything like it. But back to Harrods - the chocolate department alone is like a standalone store, with hundreds of brands from around the world. The handbag department is overwhelming, with every designer you can think of, and some you've never even heard of. And don't even get me started on the cosmetics department - it's like a whole different world. The food hall is like a gourmet heaven, with top-quality meats, a huge cheese shop, and a pastry department that'll make your taste buds do the happy dance. I could go on and on, but trust me, you need to see it for yourself to truly appreciate its grandeur. Of course, we ran out of time to explore the rest of the store, but I'm guessing you need at least two days to do it justice. We had a big night ahead of us, so we hopped on the metro, which is fabulous, by the way. It's the best way to get around London, especially considering the insane traffic. We've mastered the art of navigating the underground, and it's been a lifesaver. After a quick change of clothes, Analisa and I rocked our matching capes, and even bought one for Leeann and Sally. We had tickets to the Moulin Rouge and just felt like the capes were perfect gor the occsasion . If you ever find yourself in London, you absolutely have to see this show - it's a must. We loved it so much that after we saw it in April we bought tickets to see it again, and this time, we're bringing the whole crew. The theater is stunning, the cast is incredibly talented, and it's just a perfect night out. After the show, we headed out for a late dinner at a great steakhouse, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. To cap off the night, we took a traditional black taxi back to our hotel. Next stop, Paris - because, let's be real, I'm not leaving Europe without visiting my happy place!
