The Poster Guys

The Poster Guys The Poster Guys Method It's not how many posters you put up. It's where you put them and how they look. Any idiot can put up 100 flyers on 100 phone poles in a row but then the same 20 people are seeing some same poster 100 times.

We go to 100 strategically placed locations so that thousands of people see the poster. We have been doing this for so long we see it as an art form and we take the time to keep the boards neat. We charge $50 per 100 posters and half price to musicians. We can do 100 in each town (Durham and Chapel Hill). You can leave posters at 102 Old Pittsboro Road(see map) by Saturday and we will start postin

Now at Swain Hall Black Box Theatre at UNC-Chapel Hill:
CASCADE
Acclaimed North Carolina playwright and novelist Jim Grimsley’s latest play takes us to the not-so-distant future where the climate crisis before us now, is in the rear-view mirror.
Society is breaking down, resources are scarce, and people are on the move. Only Grimsley could find both terror and tenderness in this strange new world.

This weekend at The Forest Theatre in Chapel Hill:
SAUNTER 23
Saturday April 23
This is it.
Your one and only and final chance to catch Saunter's 23rd reunion tour performance, rain or shine.
The band will live out their remaining (on-stage) rock & roll fantasies, while you witness and participate in the spectacle.
Taking the stage will be Chad Bennett (bass), Brian Buzby (sax), John Crusoe (drums), Matthew Davis (guitar & vox), Paul Sanders (keys), with special guest appearances from Charles Battle (drums) and Drew Willardson (guitar).
We'll be treated to an incredible opening band, which is most likely better than Saunter, known as Duck.
FYI - This is a "bring your own beverage" event, as food and drink sales are not allowed in The Forest Theatre.
Carry out all of your trash, too.
This page has everything you need to learn (or re-learn) about the show and the band.
DAY OF SHOW - $20 adult / $10 kids 12 and under / College students free
BEFORE THE SHOW
I’m With The Band - $100. Backstage access pass before & after the show, plus t-shirt
I Was There - $40. Entry to the show plus exclusive, one-time-only super comfy t-shirt
Your Basic Ticket - $15 adult / $8 kids 12 and under

This week at The Animal Park in Burlington, NC:
With some of the darkest skies in the greater Triangle & Triad area, the Animal Park at the Conservators Center offers superb viewing conditions for astronomical events.
In the evening oof Thursday and into early Friday morning join us to view the Lyrid & π- Puppids meteor showers.
You’ll have an unobstructed view of the sky with opportunities to view the entire event throughout the late night and early morning also presenting excellent viewing opportunities for many Deep-Sky Objects with your binoculars or telescope.
Because the Moon rises after midnight on the 22nd the evening will be dark and provide excellent viewing until dawn.
Join us at 5:30 pm for a unique Twilight Tour through the park before the viewing party begins at 11:00 pm.
Or skip the tour to set up camp with your tent and telescope at 10:00 pm.
What makes this viewing party unique, however, is the company you’ll keep.
Our park of over 70 animals features a large population of vocal, social carnivores including lions and wolves, as well as other vocal species like jungle cats, a coyote, and New Guinea singing dogs, who will all keep you enthralled with their chorus of howls, roars, and calls.

Do you guys have any photos of your pestering in Chapel Hill this last month?
$41,562 - that's what Be Loud 19 raised!!! There are SOOOO many people to thank for making the weekend a huge success, including all the amazing bands - Chatham County Line, The Old Ceremony, The Tan and Sober Gentlemen, Rob Ladd, John Plymale, Robert Sledge, Brian Dennis, Greg Humphreys, PopUp Chorus, Alive at 27, and Pajama Day, - Lane Wurster, Steve Balcom and their amazing team at The Splinter Group, Frank Heath and the awesome crew at Cat's Cradle, Jody Maxwell and Soccer.com, MCs Eric Montross, Billy Barefoot and Al Bowers, local businesses Al's Burger Shack, Spotted Dog, Starpoint Brewing, Duncan-Parnell, Inc., A Better Image Printing, Balloons & Tunes, ZimZoom Photobooth, Vecino Brewing Co., WCHL and Chapelboro.com, North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC, Indy Week, and The Poster Guys, audio/video/photo geniuses Jonathan Drake, Tom Laney, Jason Summers and Larry Tucker, Wes Malinchock, Evan Malinchock and Brian Richardson for Bike Loud, Eric Montross and Bill Smith for their extraordinary auction items. And ultimately of course Lauren Lux, Andrew Smitherman and Catherine Louise Swift for the work they do every single day for young adults with cancer at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center that has inspired all this generosity. And to everyone who bought a ticket and came out to support us! With deep gratitude, Lucy, Niklaus, Elsa and Annabel.
We're excited about Be Loud! '19 this weekend and couldn't do it without all the support we get from our community, including these incredible local businesses who donate time, energy and products to make it all happen: Cat's Cradle, who've hosted us all 6 years, The Splinter Group, who organize, design and market it, Soccer.com, who graciously donate the T-shirts, Al's Burger Shack and Spotted Dog, who feed the bands, Starpoint Brewing, who donates beer, and Duncan-Parnell, Inc., A Better Image Printing, Balloons & Tunes, ZimZoom Photobooth and The Poster Guys, who print, promote, bring fun and make our stage look great. Hat's off to Eric Montross and Bill Smith for being so gracious with their time and providing unbelievable prizes for our auctions, and to Jonathan Drake, Tom Laney, Jason Summers and Larry Tucker for photography and videography. And, if you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat this weekend, Vecino Brewing Co. right beside the Cradle will discount your meal by 10% and donate that amount to the Be Loud! Sophie Foundation if you show your ticket.
