Picked up a one-night show next Saturday night filling in for their regular karaoke host. This will be at Sal's Pizza Pub in Lombard. I checked it out last night. It's a smaller bar but that didn't limit the number of good singers! Come on out if you want to sing or just be entertained. I'll be starting at 10:00 PM and going to 1:30 AM
Hope to see some familiar faces and make new FB friends! 🙂

Well, after five decades as a musician and songwriter, just over 24 hours ago I finally started my own label call "Hand Forged Music".

This new entity is registered under my RJP Productions LLC and will represent my recording and publishing functions as I plan to start streaming original songs - both old and new.

I've spent the past 2 months harvesting previously written songs off many old cassette tapes, hard drives and SD cards to first begin building up my portfolio in preparation of re-recording them with modern digital technology. Then there's lots of legal and business and marketing stuff to do before I can release anything. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'll certainly share some content here in the future when it's ready and I look forward to your thoughts!

Had the honor of hosting my first private party this past Saturday night! This was in celebration of 12-year-old Dom and his late father Michael's birthday. Nice to see these young kids enjoy singing so much! Thanks Lily and family for having me there and Bobby DeRosa for recommending me. ♥

Well, another new week starts and this upcoming Saturday I'm looking forward to hosting karaoke for the first time at a private party!

After over a year of weekly shows in bars, this will be a nice change of pace and hopefully the first of many more to come.

If you know of anyone looking for something different at their next big party, please keep me in mind 🙂

Went to see my talented singer/songwriter friend and former co-worker Brooke Blary perform at the Homegrown Music Festival in Lisle, IL on Saturday evening. Great show! Here are some pics and a video.

Hi everyone,

For those of you who hadn't already heard, Mangy Dawgs Pub suddenly closed their doors just over a week ago. ☹️
As far as I know at this time its future is still uncertain. It could possibly reopen under new management. If and when, time will tell...

If so, I would look forward to being back there hosting weekly karaoke, providing the local community and all the regulars that supported me over the past year a consistent, quality environment to come develop their vocal talents - and have a good time!

Meanwhile, my other options are finding alternative locations to host 2-3 nights per week, securing some gigs like private parties, corporate team building events, live sound or providing marketing related creative services.

So, if you know of anyone looking for something like that, please have them reach out. I would look forward to hearing from them.
