Carmichael Recreation and Park District is a dependent special district of the County of Sacramento, 15 miles northeast of the state capitol in the beautiful central valley of California. Established in 1945, the District is chartered by the County of Sacramento to manage park land and provide recreation opportunities to Carmichael and Sacramento County residents.

Have you ever been to Patriots Park?

This charming community space is the location of our Wall of Honor memorial. This site pays respects to our local heroes who have fallen in the line of duty- from CHP, Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, Sacramento Metro Fire District, and the U.S. Military.

The park also features a large and beautiful playground, a basketball court, and many mature trees to relax in the shade.

Please join us here at 10am November 10th as we honor our local heroes with our yearly Wall of Honor event.

🐾🎃 What a turnout at our Barktober Festival this Saturday. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a tail-wagging good time!

From adorable pups and creative costumes to fun activities and local vendors, it was a wonderful celebration of our Carmichael community. A big thank-you to Carmichael Parks Foundation for hosting the event and our Annual Sponsors and partners, Buck Family Automotive- Carmichael's Award-Winning Service& Repair Facility, Kiwanis Club of Carmichael,Supervisor Rich Desmond, and Food In The Hood 916 who helped make Barktober such a success!

-New misting stick and enclosed toddler swing seat
-Improved accessible concrete pathways
-New drinking fountain and site furnishings
-Accessible concrete pad under the picnic shelter

Looking to learn tennis or improve your skills? Now is the perfect time to get on the court!

We're excited to launch our NEW tennis program with affordable introductory pricing while we build and grow our classes!

Whether you're picking up a racket for the first time or looking to improve your game, our classes offer a fun, welcoming environment for kids, teens, and adults.

Join us on Friday, October 16, at 9 AM as we celebrate improvements at Jan Park (4310 Jan Drive) made possible through Measure G funding!

Park improvements include:
- New misting stick and enclosed toddler swing seat
- New and improved accessible concrete pathways
- New drinking fountain and site furnishings
- New accessible concrete pad under the picnic shelter
