๐ช๐พ PAWS UNDER THE BIG TOP | ALTHEA CANINES
What a night in Orangevale!
And THANK YOU Shannon Kane for the amazing opportunity to be a part of such a special evening.
I had the privilege of serving as the professional auctioneer for Paws Under the Big Top, benefiting Althea Canines, at the Orangevale Community Center.
And this is an organization more people need to know about.
Althea Canines is an Orangevale-based nonprofit helping veterans, first responders, and others living with mental-health and psychiatric disabilities experience greater independence, confidence, and well-being through the incredible connection between people and highly trained service and facility dogs.
Their mission goes beyond training dogs. Theyโre working to make these life-changing partnerships accessible to people who might otherwise never be able to afford them.
That is a mission worth getting behind. โค๏ธ๐พ
The room was filled with people who believe in what Althea Canines is doing, and it was an honor to grab the microphone and help turn that generosity into support for their programs.
This is why I love benefit auctioneering.
Yes, itโs about creating energy, generating bids and raising moneyโbut ultimately itโs about helping great organizations continue doing meaningful work in our community.
Thank you to everyone at Althea Canines for allowing me to be part of Paws Under the Big Top. I came away from the evening believing even more people in the Greater Sacramento area should know who you are and what you do.
