Coming to you today a little less polished, but with hearts fuller than we can put into words. 🤍
This weekend, Central Indiana experienced historic flooding that impacted countless homes, businesses, and communities — including Black Iris Estate.
Suddenly, a wedding day we had spent months preparing for looked very different.
Our team came together and got to WORK. We found a new home for Audrey & Owen’s celebration with the incredible support of Village of WestClay and caleb_blackerby . We gathered equipment, loaded trucks, rebuilt spaces, moved mountains (literally and figuratively), and showed up with every hand to make sure this couple still got the day they had dreamed of.
It truly was an all-hands-on-deck kind of day. The kind where plans change by the minute, problems become solutions, and you simply keep going because there is a couple counting on you.
Then Audrey & Owen’s family and friends walked through those doors and filled every corner with exactly what a wedding day should be filled with: life, laughter, and love.
Their gratitude, patience, understanding, and genuine kindness throughout everything was something we will never forget. They reminded us that it is the people who ultimately make a wedding unforgettable.
We are endlessly proud of the team that went the distance for this couple. What happened behind the scenes may not have been part of the original plan, but it is a story we will be telling for years to come.

Our hearts are also with every person, family, and business affected by the flooding and recent storms across Central Indiana. We are incredibly grateful for the people who have shown up for one another, and now, the work begins to bring Black Iris Estate back to 100%.
