Hello everyone,
I am writing this to let everybody know that Phil, my loving husband, father of my children, my ride or die, my rock, my life partner and my best friend passed away on Saturday afternoon. Our kids lost their dad and I lost my everything. He had been suffering the last couple of years from chronic health issues and pain that led to a fall of traumatic proportions. The kids and I could not ask him to go through hours long surgery that would have resulted in even more pain for him and he never would have recovered from. He gave me an incredible 38 years and even though I knew I would be shattered I couldn’t ask him for more. I loved him enough to let him go and he loved me enough to stay and fight if I would have asked. The kids and I just wanted him to find peace and be pain-free. His final wish was to die in his own home and through heroic efforts from the Natividad ICU, Monterey County Paramedics, and Home Connect Hospice we were able to do this for him. He died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends in my arms. I want to thank all of you who knew and loved him. He counted many of his friends as family, and he loved and thought of you all. Your friendship and time spent with him meant the world to him and to me. He will forever be missed and never be forgotten and will always live in my heart and the hearts of his children.
