We're turned 20 today!
It feels like it was just the other day when my world turned technicolor!! Crazy as it sounds this wild adventure started with a dropped champagne bottle and a delayed flight. Let me explain... a month before my college graduation I was making a cheese and charcuterie board (yes it was a thing even back then) and a champagne bottle fell on my foot. Not sure why but it gave me an epiphany moment! I wanted to be a caterer, I want to make beautiful things, and feed people well! Pain equals clarity?...not sure.
Fast forward a few years. I was picking up my husband from the airport and his flight was delayed. I stopped in at a Starbucks to wait it out and picked up a local news paper. On the back page was a teeny tiny advertisement for a catering company for sale. I had no business calling but felt completely possessed to do so. When I picked up my husband, I sheepishly said to him, babe, I think I just bought a catering company.
Now fast forward 20 years, how did we get here?! This has been the adventure of a lifetime! I have never worked so hard, laughed so hard, cried so hard, and loved so hard. Being part of peoples' lives and having my Turkeys be part of my life has given me so much joy and purpose. Having been ATOE's steward for the past 20 has been the greatest gift a girl could ask for! But the universe wasn't finished being generous. We've been sitting on this for a couple months... but I think today is good day to spill the beans! I'm so happy to share that ATOE truly has a forever home, because we now own our building!! There are no words to describe my gratitude, as I most certainly did not get here on my own. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU you all know who you are, THANK YOU! May there be more years of facilitating delicious 🧡
