What Mardi Gras Means to Me 🤍
Mardi Gras is rich in culture, and many people celebrate it through parties and long-held traditions.
For me, its meaning goes a little deeper.
Mardi Gras literally means “Fat Tuesday.”
Originally, it was a time when people stored food, used what they had, and prepared their hearts and homes for a season of fasting and reflection.
As I create beautiful wreaths, pillows, and home décor, my intention is not rooted in excess or worldly customs. Instead, it is a moment of gratitude—giving thanks to God for all He has provided—and a time of preparation to do what honors Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
No matter your background or denomination, if you are a child of God, this season can be a beautiful opportunity to pause, reflect, and honor our Heavenly Father through Jesus.
My hope is that during this season, each of us will choose to do something that helps us grow closer to God.
