It’s become a tradition for our family to plant amaryllis’s at the beginning of Advent and allow ourselves to be captured in the awe of their usual rapid growth and unfurling. Often stopping us in our tracks at Christmas to just sit and marvel at their beauty. We fondly refer to these planters as our Advent gardens. They often have our Advent candles 🕯️ nestled in as we count down to Christmas. Today our Christmas decor has been boxed up yet the amaryllis are still smiling at us with all their glory. The pictured amaryllis’s are just shy of 3 feet tall.
