**A Message to Our Community from Management**
To our loyal patrons, artists, and neighbors,
The past few weeks have been incredibly challenging and in light of the recent constant fighting outside and the tragedy that happened in the back of a parking lot which Indigo had no role in, it was very disheartening to see people continue to party while the incident was going on in the back of the church parking lot therefore we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the doors for one week, effective immediately.
We need this time to process, and to figure out what can be done in the future. The safety, respect, and well-being of everyone who steps through our doors and walks out have always been our highest priorities, and right now, we need to pause and reflect on moving forward and holding people
accountable for not respecting the rules.
We want to be entirely transparent with you: The values that we uphold, we want and expect everyone who steps in the doors to have the same. If we all as a community cannot implement real, lasting changes of our attitude, demeanor, and mental state, we will be forced to close our doors for good and that choice will be made due to our own personal reason of not wanting to deal with craziness any longer. We have always been a zero tolerance for any violence of any kind within our walls and outside and will continue to.
Indigo is more than just four walls and a sound system—it is a sanctuary. We want our space to be safe and welcoming for everyone when they are inside as well as on the outside.
We love this community, and we want to keep this space to be a venue to come and enjoy yourself. But we cannot do it without a collective commitment to doing better. Let’s take this week to take care of ourselves and each other. When you come out, change your mindset to have fun and leave the drama at home and if you can’t please stay at home.
