🚨 WARNING TO MY FELLOW EVENT PROFESSIONALS 🚨

There has been a significant increase in phishing scams targeting businesses in the event industry, and many of them begin with what appears to be a legitimate event inquiry.

One of the most common ways scammers try to gain access to your information is through your email. They'll often avoid speaking by phone and instead encourage you to click a Zoom, Google Meet, or other meeting link.

Be cautious, especially if:

You've never spoken with the client by phone.

No deposit or signed agreement has been received.

They immediately want you to join a virtual meeting using their link.

They avoid answering basic questions about the event.

Protect yourself:
✔️ Verify the client's information.
✔️ Schedule a phone call first whenever possible.
✔️ If a virtual meeting is necessary, create and send your own meeting link rather than clicking one sent to you.
✔️ Trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.

Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, and as business owners, we have to stay one step ahead. I'd much rather miss out on a questionable lead than compromise my business, my clients, or my personal information.

Stay safe, and please share this with other event professionals who could benefit from the reminder.

This time, we celebrated the Fourth of July with two festive signature cocktails:

🍸 Liberty Lychee Drop – A refreshing blend of vodka, lychee liqueur, lychee juice, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and a raspberry sinker, garnished with a lychee and fresh blueberries.

🇺🇸 Stars & Stripes Sparkler – Blanco tequila, fresh lime juuce, lemonade, topped with club soda and finished with a blue curaçao sinker, garnished with a fresh strawberry.

We also talked about simple ways to elevate your holiday celebrations—from choosing an easy signature cocktail menu to beautiful garnishes, staying hydrated, serving responsibly, and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere your guests will remember.
