As we tuck ourselves into bed tonight, I want to be the last "feature post" of the festival.
Hi! It's me, I'm the problem... no wait, that's not right...
Ahem, Hi, It's me, Suzanne Hunter, I'm the Founder and Coordinator of this very special festival that is so near and dear to my heart. Big Dreams and all... I also own The Sea Glass Grotto and design and make all of my own Sterling Silver Sea Glass jewelry. Many of my pieces are part of my distinct designs and created in collections that are signed, dated and numbered.
And the story goes: after travelling all around the country for Art Festivals, and mostly Sea Glass Festivals where I can always find "my Tribe" I knew I wanted to create a similar festival close to home in Cape May County, so a plan was hatched. Thanks to the amazing folks at Historic Cold Spring Village, and to my even more amazing friends and family, the wheels were set in motion and a dream became a reality. This festival not only brings together over 80 artisans and handcrafters this year, it also serves as one of the Village's largest onsite fundraisers so they can continue their mission of historic preservation, history education, and heritage tourism.
Thank you all, Friends and Family, Sea Glass and Art Lovers alike, for being a part of this journey over the last 3 years! I hope to see you all at the festival!
Oh, and check out my other festival I'm starting this August: Jersey Cape Festival of Fine Craft at Stone Harbor
