There’s always a point in our wreath workshops when I look around and everyone is busy with their own little patch of evergreens. Then someone holds theirs up, and we all have to stop and admire it. ❤️

That’s my favorite part. The same materials on the table, but each wreath has a little of its maker in it.

Our Winter Wreath Workshops are open for registration! One session is already full, and another has just two spots left. We’re keeping each session to 15 guests, so if you have a favorite day and time, book early.

Come with a friend or pull up a chair on your own. I’d love to make something with you.

Have you ever seen someone’s gorgeous spring harvest and thought, “Well, I wish you’d told me to plant that *last fall*”?

That’s why I’m showing you what’s going into the ground at our farm **right now**: strawberry plants and garlic. They’re two of the easiest things to grow, but you need to catch the planting window if you want to enjoy them next year.

I put together a free little guide with planting instructions, the varieties I chose, and where I bought them. Join my email list to get the download, then you can get yours planted while there’s still time.

We are very good at buying flowers for other people.

Birthdays. Anniversaries. Thank-yous. Times when someone needs cheering up.

But sometimes the flowers should be for you.

A flower subscription gives you a small ritual to anticipate each month. You pick up your bouquet, bring it home, choose a vase and suddenly the kitchen table looks different. The room feels a little softer.

One of our subscribers described it simply: “It’s like a treat for myself.”

That is exactly what I hope these subscriptions feel like.

Choose three seasonal bouquets for $119.95 or nine Full-Season bouquets for $319.

Registration closes September 30. Link in comment.

The day before subscription mornings, I usually head into the field early with my buckets and snips, before the day becomes too warm.

I may already have an idea of what the bouquets will look like, but the field often changes my mind.

One week, the lisianthus may be too beautiful to pass over. Another time, the peonies suddenly scream they're ready to be harvested or the eucalyptus has reached the perfect stage for cutting.

By the time the bouquets are arranged and lined up for pickup, no two are exactly alike. But they all feel as though they belong to that particular moment on the farm.

Our 2027 subscribers will receive some of the best flowers growing here each month, including varieties that may be available only in limited numbers at the stand.

Choose one season with three bouquets for $119.95 or the Full-Season Subscription with nine bouquets for $319.

Registration closes September 30. See comment for link.

Spring, summer or fall ... which flower season is your favorite?

Spring brings the flowers we’ve waited all winter to see: tulips, ranunculus and those first soft armfuls of color.

Summer is bright, generous and filled with that wonderfully loose, just-gathered-from-the-garden feeling.

Then fall arrives with deeper colors, interesting textures and bouquets that feel especially precious because we know the growing season won’t last forever.

Our Spring, Summer and Fall Bouquet Subscriptions each include three locally grown bouquets for $119.95.

Can’t choose just one? The Full-Season Subscription includes nine bouquets from April through October for $319.

All flowers are grown here on our Cape May farm, and subscriptions are available for local farm pickup only.

Tell me in the comments: Are you spring, summer or fall?

Registration link in comment, closes September 30.

Cape May gardeners, a little reminder from the farm: fall is not the end of the gardening season.

Now is the time to think about planting strawberries and ordering garlic for fall planting. In this Thursday’s newsletter, I’ll share the varieties I chose, where I ordered them, and why I think they’re a good fit for gardens here in Cape May.

If you’d like those details, be sure to join the Seashore Flower Farm newsletter before Thursday. I also share seasonal gardening advice, behind-the-scenes stories, and updates about what’s growing and happening at the farm.

Lisianthus - 11 months from seed to harvest - are now at its peak. Find them at our flower stand or through custom order before their season comes to an end.
