GORGEOUS family alert!
Owners of Mickey’s Place in Canyon—Renae, Mickey, and their beautiful kids Zach, Madi, and Emmy—were an absolute dream to work with. So kind, so easygoing, and just the kind of people you instantly feel at home with. We had the most beautiful evening at Palo Duro Canyon for their session, and every photo radiates their love and joy.
If you haven’t stopped by Mickey’s Place yet, make plans ASAP! It’s located right on the cutest little square in Canyon. The food is incredible, the service is top-notch, and when you dine there, you’re supporting a truly special local family.

Still smiling thinking about this day 🤍 From the most darling flower girl and ring bearer (seriously, adorable overload 🥹) to the laughter shared between the groom and his brother — this wedding party was something special. Grateful I got to capture so many sweet moments for this beautiful couple and their crew!

Grace Canida – Sneak Peek 🌈📸
This session was so beautiful! Grace is incredibly photogenic — she started off a little nervous, but by the end she was an absolute natural in front of the camera. 💫
I loved every minute with her and her sweet mama, Rebecca. Fun fact: Rebecca was one of my very first friends when I moved to Amarillo. We worked in bookkeeping together at Amarillo National Bank for four years with the best group of girls. I can still remember when Grace was born! 💕 And I’ll never forget how Rebecca would haul me to work in the snow because we lived in the same apartment complex and this small-town girl was not brave enough to drive on icy roads. 😂
This is just a little sneak peek — there are so many amazing photos from Grace’s senior session at Palo Duro Canyon that I’ll be sharing it in three parts! We even had to stop for 15-20 minutes to wait out the rain, and were rewarded with the most beautiful rainbow. 🌈 It was such a special day!

Zoe Hernandez – Canyon High School Senior 💜
Headed to Texas State University and bringing all the cute cowgirl energy with her! 🤠✨
Y’all… you’d never guess how cold, windy, and misty it was during this session. Zoe was shivering, but she powered through like a champ—with the biggest smile, giggles, and the sweetest attitude the whole time! 💨🥶 She totally rocked her denim shorts, Texas State tee, and those adorable white Texas State cowboy boots! 😍🐾
She brought her bestie (since they were THREE!) along for the fun—they’re going to be college roommates at Texas State, and we captured the cutest shots of them together for their dorm room walls. 📷💕
Zoe’s beautiful mama, Kelli, also came along and cheered us on. We ended up cutting this session a little short thanks to the wild weather, but don’t worry—part two is coming soon, and it’s just as fabulous. I can’t wait to share it! 🌤️📸

Huge shoutout to the amazing barbers at Platinum Cut Barbershop — y’all made today unforgettable! From the energy to the encouragement, you turned one fun idea into a core memory for a group of brave fifth grade boys. A couple weeks ago, Kacen came up with a plan: he and his best buddies would all get buzz cuts on the last day of school. Luke and Jones were the first to say yes, and today… it turned into eight boys in the chairs, with a crowd of cheering friends, giggling girls, and proud parents watching it all go down.Every Friday, 5th–8th graders walk to the Square to hang out with friends—it’s a sweet small-town tradition that gives these kids connection, freedom, and fun in the best way. I’m always amazed by how welcoming the local businesses are, and how this simple tradition turns into lifelong memories week after week.Today was one of those special moments—the kind that sticks. The buzz cuts were bold, the cheering was loud, and the start to summer couldn’t have been better. Here’s to fresh fades, fearless kids, and a community that shows up
