Canton Recreation Our mission is to provide recreation, fitness, special events and wellness opportunities for the residents of Canton, New York.

We strive to enhance healthy lifestyles and well-being in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. The Canton Recreation Department provides year-round programs for all Canton residents. Additionally, the Recreation Department runs the Canton Recreational Pavilion Ice Rink, Taylor Park Beach, Bend in the River Park, Priest Pickle Ball Courts, and more.

Summer program details for 2026. Registration opens in June. A couple of changes from last summer (1) Swim lessons will be conducted at SUNY Canton. (2) Community pool hours will be managed by Canton Central School moving forward.

I hope everyone is cleaning out their attics, basements and garages this weekend… no equipment donations = no equipment sale. We only have one small pile so far… Here we go, Canton! Let’s regift those unused items to another family.

Rocky the Boa is kicking off his first Trail Adventure Challenge: Spring into Motion!🐞🌸

Rocky is currently 10.5 feet long and has a BIG goal of growing to at least 13 feet by the end of the month - but he needs your help! Paint a rock inspired by springtime fun like flowers, sunshine, ladybugs, or anything that gets you outside and moving, then add it to Rocky along the trail.

Let's see how big Rocky can grow this month! 🐍🪨💚

It’s time to clean out those attics, garages and closets! Grasse River Real Estate, LLC is officially accepting donations for the fourth annual used recreation equipment sale. Please drop off all equipment outside the double garage doors at The Pavilion - 90 Lincoln Street. Pickups can also be arranged.

The success of this event is 100% dependent on equipment donations. Pass along those items that you don’t use to another family. All generated funds from the sale directly fund the Let’s Play, Canton! Summer Recreation Program.
