Current wedding trends 2026 - 2027

As a wedding planner and coordinator, I am always watching trends, and belong to different groups around the country. Here is what I am seeing. Vendors, please feel free to add your opinions.

1. Couples are still booking vendors on a traditional timeline. Planning events 1-2 years out.
2. Couples are also booking weddings on shorter timelines, 3 to 6 months out
3. I am seeing a lot of couples wanting to get married in a hurry this fall.
4. I am seeing more celebrations with under 50 guests.

I have a lot of thoughts about all of these things. But I want to hear what other people's thoughts are . Is it because of the current economy, or world events, or more competitive markets that we as vendors find ourselves in, that all of these trends are manifesting? Ready, set, discuss!
