"At 70 years old, if I could give just one single piece of advice to the young woman I used to be, it would be this: learn to say 'Go f*ck yourself' a whole lot more often.

We waste way too many years trying to be people-pleasers. We spend an exhausting amount of energy trying to be liked, trying to force ourselves into boxes that were never designed for us in the first place. We bend over backward, we stay quiet, we shrink ourselves to fit in... until the day we finally realize that none of it ever mattered.

The judgments that used to terrify us, the societal obligations that choked us, the toxic people we completely drained ourselves for? None of them were ever worth the heavy emotional baggage we carried.

So, here is what I would tell my younger self: dare to speak your truth.

Stop justifying your life choices to people who don't even belong in your life. Stop wasting your precious energy trying to explain yourself to those who are committed to misunderstanding you.

Protect your time, protect your heart, and fiercely protect your inner peace. And if something—or someone—isn't adding value to your life, have the courage to walk away. No excuses, no regrets, and absolutely no looking back.

Because at the end of the day, true regrets are born from the silences we kept when we should have spoken up. They come from the toxic behavior we tolerated when we should have said 'no.' They come from the moments we put everyone else on a pedestal... until we completely forgot who we were."
