Dear friends and family

Tomorrow, we have a crucial opportunity to show our support for a cause that means so much to our community. We’re inviting you to join us at the court hearing for the sheriff’s sale, as we stand together for the Hmong veterans who fought alongside American forces during the Vietnam War.

Their sacrifice was immense, and this piece of land represents a living tribute—a chance to honor their memory and the legacy of freedom they fought for.

It’s important to know that this park isn’t just for the Hmong community—it’s for all veterans who have served in all wars and conflicts. This land is unique because it's all about veterans—featuring war monuments that reflect America’s journey to freedom. If this land is taken away, we lose a vital opportunity for remembrance and a place where veterans can be honored for generations to come.

Let’s come together and show that we remember their courage and the freedoms they helped secure. Your presence will send a powerful message that we value the sacrifice of all our veterans and that their legacy will not be forgotten.

Thank you for standing with us.

Today is a day, we pay homage to the Japanese Americans Veterans Twin Cities JACL . Our honorable General Paul Nakasone and Lieutenant Fong Lor were invited to deliver a speech to honor our Japanese American Veterans and families at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. It is truly an honor to be a witness, a deep and thoughtful moment to remember in each one of the attendees heart.

Fort Snelling was home to a linguistics school, where about 6,000 people were trained in Japanese language. Those linguists went on to break codes and serve on the front lines, a role military officials said was crucial in bringing the end to the war.
