All the plumbing they put in after closing in the porch went through the floor. So sad. You see that nice rotten area?! Yeah, we’ll be fixing that. Poor guy gets to do the fun parts like crawling around this 2’ gap and getting dripped on. Don’t worry, my job is coming up quick.

This is not the first time I have seen or even made a dresser into a bathroom vanity. But it is the first time that I’ve turned a mirror into a sliding door. Help a girl out! What hardware do I use to make this heavy ass mirror glide?

We made it to the bottom of the treasure chest! Can you believe this was the original porch?

We found milk paint on the original siding, and what is left of the porch floor is beautiful tongue and groove. THIS is why we needed to investigate all the layers - to get this house back to its 1900 charm.

The excavation continues! The 2nd layer of floor has been exposed, along with holes! They used bits and pieces of vinyl and scrap wood to level this out under the OSB that we removed, which was below the blue linoleum. Gotta get this bs cleared out, hopefully we’ve still got floor joists under there!

The 80’s called, they want their stinky ass linoleum back. Taking it back to the beginning of our bathroom remodel today, so you can see where it all began. Satisfying!?

What’s behind wall number 1?! More wall. Wall number 2? 3 layers of wallpaper. We took it down. But don’t worry Brenda, I saved and framed some of the good bits to hang back on the wall when we’re done!
