Upstate Chapel Upstate Chapel music venue at Canajoharie, NY Founded in 1862, Ss. Peter and Paul was the first Roman Catholic church settled in Canajoharie, New York. ft.

The present church building, at the corner of Cliff Street and Walnut Street in Canajoharie, is a fine example of simple gothic construction in limestone, with the actual limestone quarried directly onsite.The church proper, with approximately 5,000 sq. of worship space, is home to beautiful collection of Victorian-era stained glass windows and a 2-manual 12-rank Carey pipe organ. As of October 28

th, 2010 (the feast of Ss. Simon and Jude), the church is privately owned. The 4000 sq. space is superb, acoustically and visually. This beautiful building is ready for your private wedding ceremony, club meetings, commencements, audio/video recording sessions, movie set, recitals, or presentations.

Save the date for our wonderful annual Irish concert. The date is Friday, March 13th at 7pm. We have a wonderful lineup of local musicians including Susan Crua and Norma Bowley, Fort Plain Library Ensemble, Our Lady of Hope Choir, Munster Pickles, Byron Nilsson and Malcolm Kogut, the Stonehouse Piper with guest singer, Brett and Shannon Dening, and Eric Stroud.

A vinatge letter to Santa mailbox has been placed by Santa's eleves at the Upstate Chapel (63 Cliff Street Canajharie, NY). Simply drop a letter to Santa or Christmas prayer request in the box with a return addess on your letter (no postage required). Santa will do his best to reply from the North Pole by Christmas. Deadline for submiiting letters is by the morning of December 18th.

Our wonderful community Christmas concert returns Friday, December 12th at 7pm. The concert is free and open to all and features local area musicians and your Christmas time favorite music. Doors open at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Another batch of pawpaws and apples are freshly picked ad ready for sale.

The apples are great for snacking, backig for the holidays, etc. Do you know that pawpaws are an indigenous fruit to America, They are hard to obtain and delciousto eat. They are great in place of bananas in banana bread recipe, for jams, puddings, cookies, with cream sauces, and drinks. These fruits are very rare and for sale at 63 Cliff Street. We have 4 varieties (sunflower, shenandoah, mango, and wild canjo. Get them while they last!
