Worker Bee Wednesday looks a little different this week 🐝

We wanted to give the girls some time to get acclimated to their new super (hive box), so we let them do their thing this week. Meanwhile, our son’s hockey season finally came to an end and he’s officially home for the summer. First thing we did after unpacking? Introduce him to the bees, of course.

In true Dominick fashion, he immediately wanted to hold a bee 😂 And after plenty of convincing, Johnny finally agreed to meet them too. Let’s just say bees haven’t exactly been his favorite in the past, so he opted for the full bee suit for protection.

Check back next week because we’re hoping the girls have some honey to show us 🍯

Three beds left to compost and till and we’re finally almost there! The flower farm prep is no joke, but seeing it all come together makes every sore muscle worth it. 🌻.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms, Aunts, Stepmoms, Grandmas, and the friends who have become second moms to our children. To the women wanting nothing more than to become a mother, and the women patiently waiting for their rainbow baby, today we celebrate you too.

And a Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day to all the moms we would give anything to hug one more time. 🤍

I hope you all spent the day feeling loved, celebrated, and appreciated for everything you do.

If you’ve seen me out in the yard or in one of my summer posts, then you’ve probably seen my adorable pink hat or my long sleeve shirts. ☀️🌸

Did you know May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month? Unfortunately, skin cancer runs in my family. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had spots biopsied and stitched up over the years. Because of that, I take sun protection seriously while spending hours outside gardening and growing flowers.

You’ll almost always catch me wearing my SPF 50 hat from Coolibar and my SPF long sleeve shirts. My second hat arrives next week and I’m way too excited about it… especially because like this one, it has a hole in the top so I can still rock my messy bun.

So here’s your reminder to schedule your yearly skin screening and protect your skin the best you can. Your garden will still love you in a hat. 💕

Worker Bee Wednesday is officially a thing around here! 🐝🌼

In this week’s update we had to make sure the queen was laying eggs, check for larvae, and replenish their sugar water. We were beyond thrilled with what we saw as we pulled the frames from the hive. Watching this process up close has honestly been one of the coolest experiences. We are absolutely loving it. We hope you are as well.

Now… check back with me after I get stung for the first time. I may have a slightly different opinion then. 😂

Sometimes it’s not about the flowers 🌿

Every year, like clockwork, right outside our front door, this little nest appears in our hanging basket—and now it’s filled with new life. A quiet reminder that even in the middle of all the planting, harvesting, and hustle, nature has its own beautiful plans.

We’re always focused on growing something special… but this? This feels like a gift we didn’t even plant.

We’ll be watching, waiting, and cheering on these tiny beginnings 💛 Because sometimes, the most meaningful blooms aren’t flowers at all.

💛For Christmas this year, my sister, brother, Mom, and Dad surprised me with the most thoughtful gift. Each one of them wrote me a love letter about this garden business journey I’ve started. I was absolutely sobbing at Christmas dinner as I read every single one.

It was so unexpected, but something I didn’t even realize how badly I needed to hear. My love language is acts of service, but words of affirmation are a very close second, and these words meant everything to me.

Along with the letters, they gifted me the most gorgeous charcuterie boards and wine glasses with our new logo on them. They are perfect, and I cannot wait to use them at all the events we have planned this summer. This gift truly feels like it’s just as much for all of you as it was for me.

Words of encouragement, thoughtfulness, and love go so much farther than you could ever imagine.

Thank you a hundred times over to my family for believing in me and for your continued support. I love you all 🧡💛🧡💛

After a very much needed social media break, we’re back 🌼
