We are very sad to announce that Bounce will be closing.
The City Council recently approved a plan to add parking for what will be the new amphitheater in Miller Park. That will require tearing down the building that houses Bounce. Personally I am very excited about these plans as I think it will be a great addition to our community.
This building has served so many purposes through the years. I’m so grateful for the season that we’ve had there. While we have considered relocating, the required space (especially height) is not easy to find. We won’t completely close the door on that possibility, but at this time it does not feel likely.
With that said, here is the current timeline:
We will continue with Open Play on Fridays 1pm-5pm and Saturdays 10:30am-1pm through December 9th. However, we will only accept donations for entrance. There will be no set charge.
We will still schedule Private parties through December 10th at a discounted rate. $175 for 2hrs or $150 for 1 1/2hrs.
Finally, we want to say thank you.
Thank you to the City of Campbellsville for being outstanding landlords. From the Mayors to the City Council to the front office staff, they’ve been nothing but kind and supportive.
Thank you to my staff. It’s never been the most glamorous job. Modest pay. Irregular scheduling. Yet over and over again they’ve come through. To everyone that’s ever covered a party or Open Play, I really can’t thank you enough. Being a bi-vocational owner obviously limits my personal availability. So it’s not hyperbole to say that Bounce would never have made it without you.
Thank you to our customers. What a blessing it has been to provide a space for so many families and friends to gather and celebrate various milestones. From birthdays to school trips to cast parties and so on. Having countless opportunities to interact with our community has given me tremendous joy. Thank you for choosing us. We will sincerely miss sharing these moments with you.
Finally I want to thank my family. Bounce has been a blessing for us. But like any small business, it certainly involves sacrifice. So for every phone call fielded, every unscheduled weekend run over to check on something, etc, their patience and support has been profound.
So this is a bittersweet note. It’s obviously sad to say goodbye. But even more than that, I am grateful.
Again, thank you.
