To those who continue to book the Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble, we thank you. We appreciate you. And we love you.

Every booking is more than a performance for us. It is family. It is culture. It is legacy. It is something we deeply believe in. When we step onto a stage, we are not simply entertaining, we are honoring our ancestors, uplifting our community, and continuing a sacred tradition that was poured into us.

As Black History Month comes to a close, we are especially grateful for every school, organization, and family that has trusted us to bring our culture into your spaces. Your support allows the legacy to continue.

We remember those who came before us, especially the legend, Robert H. Dickerson. Thank you for making sure we know who we are, love who we are, and walk boldly in that truth.

The legacy continues. Always. ✊🏾🖤🔥

On behalf of the Dickerson family, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the 4th-grade students at Davis Elementary School in Camden, led by educators Ms. Kimberly Brown and Ms. Ramona Tribbett, for creating this beautiful tribute in honor of our late father, Robert Dickerson.

If you knew him, you know he wholeheartedly loved Camden City, especially its youth. We are truly humbled by this thoughtfully created project, which will be entered into the NJ Amistad History Day Competition for 4th and 5th grades on January 31, 2026, at Pleasantville High School from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
From the Dickerson family, thank you.

The legacy continues. 💫
