Hello Everyone!!
It’s been awhile since we’ve posted anything as we’ve been very busy thanks to all of our amazing customers.
This year Camden Floral will be celebrating 100 YEARS in business!!! That’s quite an accomplishment for any business. We are proud to be the third set of owners. It all started with the Goodale Family, then John and Charlene Henderson, and now Rick and I. We couldn’t have done it without our customers so thank you.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner. After a crazy year of dealing with the COVID pandemic, I’m sorry to say we aren’t out of the woods or back to normal quite yet. I think every business in the world has been affected by shutdowns, supply chain and logistical issues. We are not immune.
As a result of COVID many airlines including freight carriers are suspending flights to many destinations. Fewer flights mean fewer flowers coming in for us to choose from. Flowers that are usually readily available may not be and going forward there may continue to be shortages and limited availability.
As if that wasn’t enough, there are 2 active volcanoes in South America located in Ecuador and Columbia. You might be thinking what does that have to do with flowers? Well, Ecuador is the world’s largest exporter of roses and may flowers are grown in Columbia as well. You see these volcanoes are sending ash out which, is covering greenhouses and flowers don’t grow very well without sunlight. So, can you see the problem with this?
Here at Camden Floral we are pivoting and adapting to what we do have available. Ultimately, you may not be able to have that specific flower you wanted and we have no control over that. However, we can put together a beautiful custom made designer’s choice bouquet for you. Each bloom hand selected and arranged beautifully with the freshest and prettiest flowers available at the time. By allowing us the flexibility of using what we are able to obtain you receive the best value.
For Mother’s Day we’ll be offering red or pink roses, $60.00 for a half dozen and $85.00 for a dozen along with designer choice vases starting at $65.00.(Prices DO NOT include delivery charges and tax) Place your orders in advance to ensure timely delivery. Keep in mind we usually sell out on holidays so avoid the last minute rush.
Also, when ordering from us you cannot place an order online. You must speak to us directly via phone. We do this to ensure the accuracy and our availability to fulfill your order. Avoid internet wire houses that will take your order and cancel it at the last minute the day of delivery. They will tell you they are a “Camden FLORIST” but they aren’t. We encourage you to shop local.
