In Loving Memory of Car Show Founder Nate Fearonce
This post is made to celebrate the extraordinary life of Pinedorado Car Show founder Nate Fearonce, who passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on May 10th, 2026.
Nate was a man whose journey was marked by curiosity, creativity, and a deep commitment to community—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Born in Los Angeles on June 4, 1934, Nate’s early years were filled with a passion for learning and service. After graduating from Dorsey High School, he pursued higher education at Los Angeles City College and the University of Southern California. His sense of duty led him to the United States Air Force, where he became a radar technician and contributed to pioneering work on the F89 Scorpion and F104 Starfighter aircraft. Nate’s technical expertise and dedication were evident as he built radar system mockups for training and continued his studies in electronics at the University of Washington.
After his military service, Nate’s career flourished in the aerospace and electronics industries, working on secret microwave projects and even contributing to the Orbiting Solar Observatory satellite. But Nate was never content to rest on his laurels.
His creative spirit led him to the Hollywood Art Institute, where he co-founded a custom lamp business and later specialized in old-world furniture refinishing and interior design.
Yet, perhaps one of Nate’s most enduring contributions to our community, was his vision and leadership in founding an amazing car show—an event that, thanks to his passion and perseverance, is now celebrating its 18th successful year.
Nate’s love for cars was more than a hobby; it was a way to bring people together, to share stories, and to build lasting friendships.
The car show stands as a testament to his ability to turn dreams into reality and to create traditions that enrich our community.
Nate’s life was also defined by his devotion to family—his children, Andre and Pier, and all those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend. He approached every challenge with ingenuity and optimism, always seeking new ways to make the world a little brighter.
As we remember Nate, let us honor his legacy by continuing to celebrate the things he loved: innovation, creativity, and above all, the joy of coming together as a community.
May his memory drive us forward, just as he inspired so many to pursue their passions and cherish every moment.
Rest in peace, Nate. Your journey has left tire tracks on our hearts, and your spirit will ride on in every car show to come.
