Hello all you CroFester's !! CroFest 2026 is scheduled for August 8th ! The Tamburitzan's 90th Anniversary Show is scheduled for August 9th !

2026 CroFest weekend event will be hosted and sponsored by the Calumet Theatre, and you will find their information at Calumettheatre.com. Updated information, for the weekend festivities, will also be shared on this page.

Thank you to every Volunteer, Entertainer, Dancer, Musician, Chef, Festival Goer, Children of All Ages... every Vendor, Sponsor, every Business, Father Gracious, every Content Creator, Baton Twirler, Baker, State Official, The Tamburitzans.... and a Very Big Thank you and much appreciation for the hosts, The Village of Calumet and The Calumet Theatre!!!.... And Now … May we present … the Captain of CroFest … The One…The Only….”JOE KING - THE CROATIAN ELVIS !!! That’s right, back by popular demand, the Captain… Joe King!! Escorted by the “Mohawk Mafia”, and featuring the fresh-out-of-retirement “Red Jack Twirlers” ya’ll !! King had everyone smiling and singing along … he even sang in Croatian !! Joe King ROCKS, all the way from Chicago with the cookin’ Pajdaśi !!!

Nova Nada Folklore Ensemble, made the TEN hour drive, from Detroit to Calumet! They came in costumes that represented different regions of Croatia. Not only did they come to dance, they came to kolo dance with Calumet!! Teaching the steps … ANYONE can Kolo!! If you watch closely you’ll see State Rep Markkanen dancing, a Village Trustee and even some Tamburitzans join in !! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to NOVA NADA !! Thank you for spreading the joy of dance… Croatian style !! Thank you for getting us out of our chairs !! Not only did we get to learn Kolo… we got some great new friends !! IN FACT… Nova Noda enjoyed Calumet so much, they are planning a trip for next year …. I hear they will be bringing more dancers and friends!!! Thank you Steve Talan, for organizing and driving and Nova Nada!!! … also a big shout out to Tom Franks … Tom was a member of Nova Nada. Thank you for the connection Tom !!

The Tamburitzans !! They came in one day early to celebrate with Calumet.. and Calumet celebrated them. The next day was their show.… the curtain went up and for the 89th time, this fun loving group turned into seasoned professionals, representing many different cultures and every Tamburitzan before them… as we watched magic unfold… years of heart and souls poured into the tradition of The Tamburitzans!! A site to see… one can only try to imagine what it was like for the emigrant, new to America and their children… experiencing a taste of home. Thank you Tamburitzans!!! ❤️

Thank you to The Tamburitzans !! They came in one day early, to help celebrate Calumet's South Slavic Heritage. At exactly 10am, The Tamburitzan Bus came rolling down Fifth Street. The legendary Copper Country Clown Band played, welcoming the bus, while town folk grabbed flags, waived and cheered the bus in !! The Tammies, played music, helped serve food, danced and sang, celebrating at CroFest.... EIGHTY NINE seasons they have made their way to Calumet... Preserving ethnic dance, song and music... Calumet LOVES their Tamburitzans!!! Thank you !!!
