Hello Ballet Caliente families!

As our studio continues to grow and serve a multitude of families in Southern Maryland, additional businesses sharing the same parking lot, and afternoon traffic at an all time high; we are aware that the intersection to turn into Ballet Caliente has become an issue.

We kindly ask that you help us in implementing change to this dangerous intersection by attending the Public Forum County Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, July 29, at 6:30pm. This meeting will allow an opportunity for parents to bring the intersection problem directly to the Commissioners in a public setting.

Join us for the final 4 weeks of Summer Dance!
We've had an incredible start to our summer season, filling our days with Mini Intensives, evening classes for Levels 2- Studio Company, and an array of adult classes! We've been learning new variations, making crafts, and new new friends!

Looking ahead to our final few weeks, we have an action packed schedule, beginning with our Ballet Caliente Intensive Program, featuring guest artists Sona Kharatian and Kristen Gallagher!

We're also opening up a few new classes! Our VERY POPULAR Pre, Primary and Ballet 1 evening classes are almost full, so we have added additional classes on Monday evenings. We will also be switching gears and swapping Adult Contemporary for an Adult Jazz class! Check out the website for new days and times, and to register!

We're beating the summer heat at the ballet studio! Catch up on all things summer dance with July's edition of The Pointe.
Don't forget: we have a little over 4 weeks left of summer dance! Up next for weeks 5-8, we begin our Ballet Caliente Intensive Program! We will also continue our evening adult classes, with a NEW addition of a Jazz class to round out our summer. Lastly, we have opened up Monday afternoon sessions of Pre, Primary and Ballet 1 classes, as Tuesday's classes are filling quickly. THANK YOU!

It has been one week since Ballet Caliente's performance of The Velveteen Rabbit, and we are still searching for the words to express our gratitude for our incredible community. Thank you to our dancers, your hard work and dedication was evident to all during your performances! Thank you to parents and families, for supporting your dancer in achieving their dreams! Thank you to all of our volunteers, for your help backstage and in the classroom throughout the year! And lastly, thank you to our teachers! Your love of dance shows through in everything you do!
We love our Ballet Caliente family, and can't wait to see everyone back in the studio this summer!

Next week we begin our Summer Dance Program, starting with an amazing lineup of Mini Intensives!
What is a Mini Intensive? A Mini Intensive is a morning program consisting of three separate groups of camp-style dance days for children ages 3-4 years, 5-6 years and 7-9 years. Each group will spend the week focusing on an overarching theme, and will be exposed to various dance principles and techniques, along with engaging in dance related activities, crafts, and more! Mini Intensives take place for the first 4 weeks of our Summer Dance Program.

Join us on June 6 & 7 at Dodge Performing Arts Center as Ballet Caliente performs an enchanting adaptation of Margery Williams’ classic tale. Experience the world through the eyes of a beloved toy who learns what it means to be “real” through the powerful love of a child. With stunning choreography and costumes, this timeless story is sure delight audiences of all ages.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased through the links on our website homepage or performance page.

Please remember, a digital program will be offered for this year’s show. For a physical copy, Commemorative Memory Books will be available for sale in the lobby before and after the performances.
