We at Microtel Inn & Suites in Cadiz Ohio are taking this public health crisis seriously. We are taking all precautions available to us to minimize risks for our guests, many of whom are away from home performing services critical to public safety. We will continue to adjust and improve our hygienic protocols as the official recommendations and mandated protective measures change. Our goal is to provided the safest place in the area for anyone who needs to insulate themselves while away from home, as well as those residents who want to insulate themselves and their loved ones when they believe returning home would increase the risks for vulnerable family members.

The owner of two hotels in Cadiz says a lawsuit that he filed in December is not about getting money back, but more about changing the way the tax structure is made. At issue: Harrison County enacted a 3 percent lodging tax dating to before 2007. The village of Cadiz enacted its own 3 percent hotel....

A contribution almost as large as Encino Energy’s contribution was paid for with Lodging Tax revenue generated by the Cadiz hotels and our guests, but that was not mentioned at the Grand Opening. I appreciate our guests contributions and the hotel staff that make sure their stay is worth the added taxes.
