❤️ A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO OUR COMANCHE COUNTY COMMUNITY ❤️

After a long and heartbreaking night, it’s quiet this morning, but the devastation left behind is heartbreaking. Homes have been lost, farmland has burned, and families are facing unimaginable loss.

But last night reminded us of something important — when our neighbors need us, Oklahomans show up.

To every volunteer firefighter, city firefighter, surrounding department, farmer, landowner, volunteer, and civilian who worked through the night, brought equipment, protected homes and livestock, or stood along the roads handing out water, food, and supplies — THANK YOU. ❤️

To everyone who checked on a neighbor, offered help, or simply asked, “What can I do?” — you showed us what community really means.

We pull together. We help each other. We don’t leave our neighbors behind.

Please continue to keep the families who lost their homes, land, livelihoods, and so much more in your thoughts and prayers, along with the firefighters and first responders still working.

Comanche County is hurting, but the strength and compassion of this community are shining brightly.

To everyone who stepped up — we see you, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful for you. ❤️🇺🇸

Today I’m remembering a special customer who became a friend, Artie Barefoot.

Artie was crazy in love with her husband, Mark. He enjoyed spoiling her with Ranch Water and Palo Santo scented candles for no special occasion at all. On holidays he would send her Sunflowers or roses with wildflowers. The two of them shared a playful sense of humor together. Teasing and laughing. He was loving and kind to her. They would have celebrated their 36 year anniversary this Saturday.

Artie had a style all her own. She loved decorating with red, black, turquoise, and cowhide, and she found plenty of inspiration in Cowboys & Indians magazine. When I would visit we shared home decorating ideas or shared our recent vintage finds.❤️🖤💙

She loved her flower beds, giant ivy, and succulents. She also loved rusty wagon wheels, old farm implements, Western art, antiques, and turquoise. She adored bling and any reason to dress up. Rhinestones and turquoise, fringed coats, and especially her favorite red boots. ❤️👢

She enjoyed a trip to Sonic for an extra iced coke. Even this last year she enjoyed the simple things that made her happy.

I feel blessed that she wasn’t just a customer, but someone I got to know and call a friend. She will be deeply missed.

Rest easy, sweet Artie. I will keep that Ranch Water candle burning, your Ivy will continue to grow, and I will see you again. 🩷🤍
