Befores and afters...The day of move in verses now! What a difference From
the WHITE OUT to deep, rich color, warm tones and gold accents. The Cabinet color is Sherwin Williams Shade Grown Green. Yes we did every single bit of the work from start to finish. I'm in ❤️🔥! Nailed it!

Little Teaser:
It just so happens when that Ice storm hit we had our kitchen under construction as we worked to give it a facelift. We have moved 8 times in our 30 years of marriage. We have either redecorated or completely remodeled 6 of the 8 kitchens (2 we didnt as they were short term rentals for us) .This is the fifth kitchen we have repainted the cabinets. I'm so ready to have order in my home again. My personality type needs organization or my brain eventually feels like clutter is closing in!!! That's the hardest part of any construction project for me. So thankful to remove the zip wall today and get the 20 gallons of water storage (for storm off my counters). We are getting closer a few more lose ends and it'll be FULL reveal time. Today, I celebrate the small wins! Joe ended up finishing this project by himself because I got hit with two injuries that made my help limited and near impossible. He did a fabulous job! I give him full credit! So we can now say on cabinet repainting projects I've done 3 and he's done 2 3/4 ! We make a great team. Stay tuned for final Before and after reveals over the coming weeks.

It’s a color explosion fit for a child who loves life! We took an ordinary guest room and converted it into a Hello Kitty Dream Land. Complete with hand drawn and hand painted mural. I am still looking to add a few more details over the coming weeks to months. The grey with expresso furniture are the befores and the afters are full of color and life fit for a Roller Skating Hello Kitty Loving Princess!

From DRAB to FAB!!! I’m in L❤️VE! From move in construction color Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray to .. Sherwin Williams Black Magic Flat on the ceiling, new peel and stick wallpaper (easy on off) and a gorgeous new light fixture! This hallway is a whole moment!!!

Color can make or break a space! There is no wrong color only wrong color combinations and not understanding how colors relate to one another and how they play out in spaces. Pay close attention to lighting, when orchestrated carefully colors bring life to a space. They help to create an atmosphere . Look at the side by side comparisons. We have many projects going and I will continue to post the full before as well as afters.

A little teaser for the book shelve project flanking both sides of the fireplace. We have chosen Sherwin Williams Shade Grown Green and are using a rich black and gold floral motif backdrop. We have beautiful brushed brass hardware for the cabinetry. Stay tuned for the final before and afters! Check out my helpful hints below.

Helpful Hints:
Cabinets take time! You cannot rush them! Follow directions well. Clean, sand if needed and wipe down, then use a bonding primer(not all purpose primer)…I like Sherwin Williams HGTV Interior Bonding Primer. It self levels well. When rolling cabinetry choose cabinet rollers (foam like) I have a new fav (I’ll list later). Then use a cabinet paint. We like Valspar water based but with an Oil Enriched Enamel In a Satin Finish. Always seal with at least one coat of Poly. We used a fast drying water based MinWax poly acrylic in a satin finish. Watch for those drips and brush on the poly! You’ll have horrible bubbles from rolling. You must work very quickly with the poly.
