Help us usher in the warmer weather at our Annual Open House, Neighborhood Picnic and Craft Fair!

On Saturday, May 31, from 12-3, join us for fun for all ages. There will be delicious cookout-style food from our chef, live music, and children’s activities to enjoy!

Every year, we are also blessed with local artisans and crafters who sell their creations at our craft fair.

If you’ve visited Adelynrood before, this is the perfect opportunity to share it with your family, friends or coworkers. If you haven’t visited, it’s a great way to explore all that Adelynrood offers.

It is beginning to warm up here, most of the snow has melted, and we look forward to welcoming spring soon.

We are blessed by the opportunity to provide special training for persons from all faiths seeking to develop a call to holy listening.

Our School for Spiritual Direction is held each summer, for one week in June and one in August and consists of four modules.

Students may enter the program at any time. Each module includes opportunities for practice and reflection.

We have only a handful of spots left in our June cohort, "Observing Ourselves and Others – the Enneagram as a Tool for Spiritual Director". Taking place June 2-6, we will look in depth at tools for understanding human personality, using the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator.

The Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross Happehatchee Companions are organizing "Caring for Creation", a regional conference.

Open to Companions, friends and family, this event will take place at the Day Spring Episcopal Conference Center in Parrish, Florida from February 12-14, 2025.

Deadline to register is coming up on December 5th, so be sure to reserve soon!

Details:

Companions and guests will gather in a sacred circle where we will learn about Native American and Celtic Worldview and become co-creators in Caring for Creation. Guided by The Rev. Rachel Taber-Hamilton who draws from her First Nations Shackan heritage we will gain a deeper understanding of a worldview that is life-giving for all, replacing the dominant one that is killing us. Companion Eileen Clark and others from the Happehatchee Chapter will weave in our Celtic heritage.

Mystical and religious music by Sr. Helena Marie, CHS, along with time for reflections, meditation, prayers, nature walks, creating nature art and poetry, and having meaningful conversations where everyone is listened to with respect will help us to transform our old ways of thinking and acting to ones that are life-giving for all creation.

Fall is knocking at our door! 🍁 🍂

There’s still time to sign up for the last program in our 2024 season. Join us for Creativity and Color in Handcrafts, taking place Friday, September 27- Sunday, September 29.

Crochet, needlepoint, embroidery and other fiber artists are invited to spend a weekend celebrating color and creativity. Bring your ongoing projects and patterns or look to learn new patterns and techniques from experienced teachers. We will knit together, and share techniques and skills with each other. Beginning learners are welcome!
