Sometimes I get asked, “What made you start a ceramic studio?”
I always smile.
The truth is… I wanted to share my love for art and create a space where people could belong.
I wanted everyone to feel like they can paint — whether it’s something with a simple, solid color that looks amazing on its own, or someone bravely testing their limits by freehanding something intricate and beautiful. Everyone deserves the confidence to create.
I never wanted someone to walk through our doors and feel like they weren’t capable….whether that obstacle is using their hands, seeing, talking, hearing, or simply needing extra guidance to understand the process. No matter the struggle, I wanted people to feel welcomed. I wanted our studio to be accessible to all abilities and designed so everyone could enjoy it with ease.
I wanted a range of prices so a parent wouldn’t panic bringing in three kids.
I wanted someone on a fixed income to still be able to enjoy a small, simple pleasure while relaxing, creating, and socializing.
I wanted a place where you could come alone on a bad day and recharge.
Because bad days make our brains say untrue things… and sometimes you just need to be alone in a room full of gentle energy.
I wanted an open floor plan where smiles happen naturally. Where friendships form safely. Because making friends as adults? It’s hard. And I wanted to make it easier.
I wanted people to feel free to be themselves….giggle, sing along to music, relax, and not worry about judgment.
I wanted to create jobs for moms and dads who need flexibility. I wanted staff to feel seen as humans, not just employees. I wanted our team to feel like family.
I wanted kids to look forward to coming to class. I wanted art to become a coping skill. A confidence builder. A lifelong love.
More than anything…
I wanted to create a space for you , whoever you are.
A place built around community.
Around kindness.
Around creativity.
And every day you walk through our doors, you make that dream real.
