I've been waiting all week for this shot, and I'm so glad that it worked out.
When I saw the tree outside Blumengarten was blossoming, I immediately checked the forecast for rain. A few years ago I shot a reflection of it, the only one that I had ever seen at that time, but I wasn't 100% thrilled with it, so I wanted to go back.
This afternoon we had plenty of rain, and luckily the blossoms stuck around the tree all week long. Also luckily, there wasn't anyone parked in front of the building, so I was able to capture this view and a few others that I really like.
You can see a couple other versions in the comments from this afternoon, but I wanted this one to stand alone. That pink on pink just never gets old, especially when you can see it twice.
After I was done in the Strip, I headed over to the North Shore and shot what might end up being my favorite spring photo this year. I've been shooting reflections of the trees along the riverwalk since 2020, but this one is more unique than any I've ever captured or seen. Stay tuned.
