FLOOD WATCH: The NWS has issued a Flood Watch for most of the area from late Wednesday through Friday as an approaching cold front paired with tropical moisture brings rounds of storms and heavy rain. Totals from 2 to 4 inches are likely widespread, with isolated amounts up to 8 inches.

🚨Concerning flood threat in Central Texas on Thursday! Level 3 out of 4 flood threat means significant rainfall is likely, which can quickly create flooding!

The window for flooding opens late Wednesday, lasting through Friday. Several inches of rainfall are expected.

What you need to do: make sure you have a way to receive severe weather alerts (primarily flooding). The KXAN News First Warning Weather app is a tremendous tool.
