I learned a long time ago that science referred to the things of our world that can be tested. Holding down a shutter release, the absorption of light through the camera and the capture of a memory is testable. Getting a family of five to not blink when the photo is taken is an art. I have combined my love for science, art and photography for over a decade. I was once a police detective tasked wit
h photographing crime scenes. Digital photography is used to re-create events; to have jurors see what the victim or suspect experienced and to preserve evidence. The scientific photographs I have taken in my career have been relied upon in court while the artistic photographs I have taken have been framed and hung in many family's living rooms. A fond memory, depicting love, family and togetherness or a photograph which is used for exonerating a free person or convicting an offender. Pictures tell a story. Whether you are taking fall school photos, long over-due family portraits or having your wedding photographed, the pictures will evoke emotions for years to follow. Hunter Johnson Photography is family owned and operated. Despite attending college for Criminal Justice and Executive Leadership, I was wildly into art throughout high school and college. My business partner, Candace graduated with a B.A. degree in Graphic Design from Champlain College. She specializes in post production work, mastering in Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign and other software. She has an eye for capturing the emotional shot and the tools for how to enhance it. I appreciate an artistic look in photographs, whether in color or black and white. I hope you enjoy the photos we have on display. I live in beautiful Fairfax, Vermont with my two children and crazy dogs, Moose and Murphy. I look forward to photographing your next event! Johnson
