We are so excited to announce that the renowned band King Of Hearts Entertainment will be our featured entertainment for Wednesday evening at the 2025 VAWP Annual Conference!

This week, we're shining the light on a familiar face... mine! 👋 Meet Joanna Banks-Morgan of Sixpence Studios! As VAWP's social media manager, it feels a little meta to write my own spotlight, but here we go! 😉

📸 Number of Weddings? 250+ (we've honestly lost count!)
📸 Something most people don't know about me: I literally grew up with a film camera in my hand. I always tell people I became a photographer because the only air-conditioned room in my Florida childhood home was the darkroom! (And yes, I still love shooting film.)
📸 Random Facts: I'm a proud member of the Wedding Photojournalists Association (Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA)) and a board member right here at Vermont Association Of Wedding Professionals!
📸 Who are our ideal couples? We love couples who value authenticity over tradition, center their day around their families (both biological and found), and want to create an unforgettable experience for their friends and loved ones through their wedding plans.

A Bit More About Joanna & Sixpence Studios...

Jo's journey into wedding photography began with a deep love for people and their stories. With a background in journalism and film (she studied at Cardiff University in Wales and St. Edward's University in Austin, TX), she brings a unique perspective to every shoot. Throughout her career, Joanna has worked on both newspapers and in TV news (CBS Austin), which further sharpened her eye for storytelling! Her distinctive style blends classic portraiture with candid photojournalism, creating a comprehensive narrative that feels both elegant and authentic.

What Jo is proudest of is building genuine connections with her clients. As one recent couple shared, "From the first phone call, I immediately felt comfortable with Joanna and knew she 100% understood our vision for the day."
